Bullards Gin was launched in 2016, however the Bullards brand in Norwich was previously best known for brewing and has a history dating back to 1837. After founder Russell Evans acquired the trademark from Heineken when it expired, he set up Bullards gin distillery at The Ten Bells pub, just a stone's throw away from the original brewery site. The distillery is now moving to a Grade 2 listed site a mile away from there with four times the production capacity, and the team there have been managing the redevelopment ready for opening at the end of 2020.
